The Napoleon Complex

I had a strange dream?

Having weird dreams is not something at all new to me. But this one was unusually strange I can admit. I found myself on some random street in a town I could not name. There were a ton of mosquitoes in this mystery location I was in. The issue was they were practically eating me alive, like 40 of them at a time draining my supply of blood. As if this was not bad enough I was then told by strangers on the street to wait for the malaria to kick in. They said this to me like it was inevitable that the mosquitoes would give me malaria and there was no other outcome. While I quietly accepted my fate outside of a random grocery store, a woman began to question me on my sexuality. Apparently she already knew what it was and didn't think that I could possibly be a lesbian. She looked me in the eyes with a smug look on her face and told me there was no TRUE way I could know. I told her I had been in love before and that I very well could. But the woman did not listen, and the mosquitoes continued to bite me. Now I have spent the last few days trying to figure out what this meant. What did the mosquitoes represent? Is it something currently happening in my life? Was the woman an embodiment of the fear people instill in me? Or maybe she is the internet discourse that I've been upset about. There is no way to be sure, but I can say it has sent me into a contemplative state for the last few days. Maybe all dreams don't have to symbolize something, but when you think about it dreaming is the time where you cannot outwardly fight your own thoughts. Your subconscious can take the wheel if it wants. So I'm wondering if mine is trying to tell me something.
